The concept and the aesthetic of the Tradwife (Traditional Wife) has been popularized in recent years through social media, monetizing fascist ideals and spreading them among the younger generation that is easily enchanted by their carefully curated aesthetic and its supposedly ‘simpler’ way of living.
Duty is a collection of stolen posts, memes, tweets and TikTok’s from Tradwife influencers and netizens. With this performance I aim to explore how the concept of the tradwife is in itself pornographic.
