Malona Lakrata is made of guaracha music, wellness culture and entrepreneurial spirit, copying and pasting messages that promote self-love. Her body glitches and lags when she moves, it blends into the world around her. She doesn’t want tobreak or make fun of the stereotypes around the women that many label as ‘bendecidas y afortunadas’ (blessed and fortunate).
Malona elevates and reproduces like a virus the imaginaries around the ‘typical Colombian woman’ that until very recently were considered tacky and shameful.
Now, these traits and aesthetics are only desirable because of the appropriation made by the young higher class.
